1. The fruit of the peach tree, peaches come in freestone and clingstone varieties. Its skin is slightly fuzzy and can range from pink and white to yellow and red, and its soft, juicy, and sweet flesh from creamy-white to golden. Peaches are eaten raw as well as cooked (e.g. in desserts).
